It's been so long!

How Long has it been????

Hello!!

It's been so long since I've been in the blog world...not that I'm good at writing and expressing but I like to share...These past four years have been very difficult to get through...tears, sorrow, pain, loss of dear ones lost of empolyment and so much more than I can possibly say. Losing my Dad has been the most painful of all.  He was my favorite person in the entire universe.

It's taken a long time for me to start gathering thoughts and ideas and planning for the future...for now it feels like the worst is over, time to start testing the waters again and start making changes in life...it almost feels right to put everything behind you and start fresh.

With the hubby retiring soon we have decided to make a huge change and move out of our home town!! yes for those of you who know me...we are moving, some will be sad and other dancing their dance.

We already embarked on our journey, took a plane to two different states and since we haven't made a decision here are some  pictures of the possible spot...oh yea...I forgot we're opening shop again...I"m so excited!!! Far..Far Away...where we can be at peace and meet new faces.

I love this shop in a very quaint neighborhood and very busy main street.

Situated next the ocean...ahh....lots of tourist and shopper. Great weather.

Great Shop...old Post Office Barn!!! Love it!!! lots of work to be done on this one..not so sure. Hubby hates the tree in front...in my eyes??? all I can visualize is hanging all kinds of stuff...what do you think??


Possibility #4

This strip is really nice..has that old feel to it and is situated with the old town feel.

Well those are the four spots that we visited these past few months...only we can't decide to go Tropical or just straight Hot!! Hot!!

Wish us luck...we are also deciding on houses, condo or apartment...so much to do!

our next trip to a new destination is coming up!  I will post more pics...maybe you can help me decide after I reveal the different states.

How Quickly...Much to Quickly

The Holidays have come and gone.  I can't even remember when I went shopping, when did I do the Christmas Dinner, when did I wrap?? New Years came the same way like a whrirl wind.  But when you take a moment, sit back and think about what is important that is what I remember the most, "Family"..the love in your home the unity and bond that no one can separate...

My Head is Spinning!

My head has been spinning now for about a month...I stumble upon this fabulous TV Show, that I simply cannot describe how Fantastic, Wonderful, Trendy, Environmentally Perfect...wait am I still spinning??? you must be wondering what I'm talking about, or you probably scrolled down because your curiosity has the best of you!

Have you Met "Shareen Mitchell" ??? and Her New Show "Dresscue Me?

Shareen take old vintage dresses and recreates them to a whole new Fabulous Level..talk about saving our environment.. she is doing the right thing. She has a shop in California and New York...

Just look at this fab outfit she's wearing. 1940's-1950's Skirts and the shoes adds the final touch.
She helps women look their best by salvaging and revamping the dress to a whole new look!
at a perfect affordable price..these woman can actually walk the Runway by the time she is done.

This is what it's all about..recreating, recycling and just redoing! Women working together..it feels good to know that there are so many people out their with a common bond.

This Week..I'm Feeling..........The Pink!!!

Found these pieces hidden away..forgotten treasures that I never bother to look at.  I knew there was still hope for these pieces.  Not so pretty, with appliques of peppers, onions and garlic..so I sanded down all of the unsightly sights a quick prime I also added so pretty appliques...and....Wallah!!!  Total new fresh look, pretty shabby pink home decor..

Letter Holder/Napkin Holder, Jewelry Box and Napkin Holder...Not bad huh???

This Napkin holder had the ugliest plastic applique of red peppers...got rid of them and added this lovely Barbola Roses Applique.

Here is a sneak peek of the before on this letter/napkin holder gives you and idea on how the both looked.

The Letter/Napkin holder was right up the same path as the napkin holder...plastic appliques with garlic, peppers and onion designs..

Saving my favorite for last..This Fabulous Jewelry Box..originally retro 1950's style..again, I added the applique and the result are Sweet in Pink!
