The best things in life are FREE!!!

It's great to have friends who think of you.....got a call from a good friend to tell me that her neighbor just got rid of a gorgeous Jacobean China Cabinet.."Come and get it in on the Curb" well...at 11 pm already and snuggly for bed in my flannel Jammies, cold cream on my face...I shook my sleepy hubby and said..."get up" get up" a free cabinet awaits on the curb...

We hopped  in our Van and off we go...who could resist???

I can't wait to get started on this piece...hmmmm..shabby white????  Robin Egg Blue..Teal..Ivory..the possibilities are endless.

Here is our Freebie!!

I'm anxious to get started...Lot's of work to be done..but I'm sure it will turn out great..

Perfect addition to my dining room...

Hopefully I can reveal the transformation soon.

Texas Fun!

Well we all know that There is nothing Frenchy about Texas!!

but it sure has a lot of great American History.  Took a trip earlier this month, didn't know what to expect (my first time)..But I've gotta tell you!! it was the most fun I've had in years! History...History..History everywhere...Flea Markets...Flea Markets everywhere...Tag Sales Tag Sales...(well you get the picture).  When visiting the historical towns these are the great spots that I found.

Well of course when in St. Antonio the River Walk is where to go! fabulous restaurants and shops just about everywhere you look. I must say I was looking for a sneak peek at a true blue Cowboy!!  Oh..I'm sorry I must stick to the story..hee..hee.

 Great Shops in Gruene Texas!

Perfect little town filled with lots of Vintage finds.

Great place to shop!! Take A Peek inside

The Best Jams I ever tasted.

Outside...  a perfect vintage feel.

Of course there is nothing better than an indoor flea market..perfectly cool!

How I wish I could have bought these home with me!

Halloween??? Little odd but perfect for the occasion..

I just couldn't resist this pink Flamingo!

Now off to Austin....lot's to see and do..

Amazing Scenery!

Great Place to find little pink Fairies or Angels?

The pottery was amazingly done.

Here's the funny part, I met a woman there and she offered me her grandmother's pottery..five boxes full..Okay, what do I do with five boxes of bowls and lids??

A little Honky Tonk??? What a Blast!!

these tired old feet just couldn't get the hang of it.

(yes a huge flip flop sale)

Since the two step was not up our alley..we enjoyed a lunch and watched everyone dance.

Perfect Lunch at a perfect spot..ahhh. Air Conditioning..

Back on the Saddle Again,

In Search of more Texas Adventure!!

A truly wonderful adventure!!! so much to see and do but not enough time!

Our experience in Texas was truly amazing and plenty of Fun!!

French Home Make it Your Own

Vendange describes itself as Paris/France romance.  When combining France to your home it's those tiny little additions that make it your  own.  That old French chunky table that has all the possibilities of a French Kitchen,a vintage table cloth an old tattered basket with warm french bread, just resting on a vintage tea stained napkin, add your vintage dinner plates and silverware, Oh!! don't forget that old candlestick that you thought was just to tarnished or to dented to be added to your table, "no way" go ahead add it to your table! make it your France!
These are the things that I love & adore.

Crack open your window let your curtains sway back and forth as you capture the essence of Vintage Paris..these are things that I love & adore.

A French Bedroom is to be embraced a certain romance and essence in the air gives that feeling of tranquility.  Your boudoir is your own, filled with French Provincial Furniture, Toile perhaps?? or just white bedroom linens will capture the beauty of France, these are the things that I love & adore.  here is a peek of a wonderful French Bedroom Vignette at one of my last Antique store shops.

Can you imagine yourself in such a beautiful setting??

Don't get me wrong I love the Perfect Imperfections as well

I would have loved to bring this table/desk home with me, I surely would have made a little French Corner with it.  It's the chemistry that happens when you pull it all together!

Icart is one of my favorite artist I found this great print at my last flea market just had to bring with me also.

Icart print "Bedtime"

Remember, "The Chemistry That Happens When A Look is Pulled Together With A Certain Nonchalance Underscored By Enormous Confidence" (by Josephine Ryan)
These are the things that I love & Adore.
